PERANCANGAN BUKU KOMIK PENANGANAN ANXIETY DISORDER SEBAGAI MEDIA KAMPANYE SOSIALTENTANG KESEHATAN MENTAL

Abstract

: Indonesia is a country with the highest mental disorders in Southeast Asia. The type of psychiatric disorder that has the highest level is anxiety (anxiety disorder). The high number of psychiatric disorders in Indonesia cannot be handled properly because the number of health facilities and health workers (psychiatrists) is minimal. Limited health facilities and health workers who deal with mental disorders can be overcome by increasing knowledge to the public about mental health disorders, especially about anxiety disorders, through social campaigns made in comics. Comics are pictorial media that make it easier for the public to understand anxiety disorders. Based on these conditions, the problem formulation in this study is how to design a comic book for handling anxiety disorder as a media social campaigns on mental health. This final project is development research that aims to produce mangastyle comics with the theme of anxiety disorder. The development uses a qualitative methodology and data collection techniques through interviews and literature studies. Anxiety disorders comic created with the story of the slice of life genre has a sequence layout and silence manga style. Based on the results of the evaluation of 23 respondents, it can be concluded that the final project results in the form of anxiety disorder comics are in a good category. This final project is expected to impact or influence the community to be more supportive, caring, and aware of people with anxiety disorders, specifically Anxiety Disorder.
