Abstract

Catastrophic landslides are caused by several things, one of which is rainfall. High rainfall may trigger landslides. If the soil is exposed to rain, the soil will be loose and easy to move, if it happens in the hills of the land and it will be shifted, causing Landslides.

Landslides can be detected with several sensors, which are wire extensometer sensor to detect landslides and to detect rainfall can use tipping bucket sensor. Therefore this study takes the theme of how to provide early warning against landslides using wire extensometer sensor and tipping bucket sensor. Wire extensometer sensor is a sensor that is useful for measuring the axial displacement between the number of measurement points referrers in the same axis, while the tipping bucket sensor is a sensor that can measure the amount of water based on the volume of water droplets by bucket.

By applying to the two sensors has been found that the result in the form of the output value of the wire extensometer sensor and tipping bucket sensor, So early warning can work.
