Abstract:

               Safety is a major issue when a disaster, like fire appears in a building. Technology can be used to assist people to avoid such kind of disaster.

                    In this final project, a fire alert system is built by utilizing mobile equipment. It is designed to communicate in a local area only. The security system will give alert to occupants of a building by showing level of fire, smoke as well as temperature as soon as fire appears. This tool is made of series of blocks which are gas sensor (MQ2), temperature sensor (DHT11), and fire sensor. The control block is using the Arduino Uno board equipped with an Ethernet Shield. The output of the system are a buzzer and personal warning that trigger an application on Android phone automatically.

                    Based on our experiment, it is shown that the warning system in the form of buzzer and mobile application in local network has success rate of 100%. When the fire appears, the tool will automatically produce a buzzer and a warning to the user by activating the alarm in their Android phone based.
